Members of the Galeshewe-based Kyokushin Karate Sako Juku Club attended their first 2017 graduation ceremony on Saturday, 29 April.

Grading was done based on the members’ performance over a six-month period.

The team coach, Sensei Lawrens Booi, is pleased with the first group of graduates. A total of 18 members graduated from white to blue belts and three graduated from yellow to green belts.

One member graduated from green to brown belt.

Booi continues to encourage his team to practise more in order to improve their skills.

He mentions that they will be hosting another graduation ceremony later in November for another group of members.
