Zu-Nellé Myburgh (17), a Gr. 11 learner of the High School Hartswater, has been chosen as the June winner for Express Northern Cape and Let’s Play’s Sports Star of the Month for her achievements in hockey.

Zu-Nellé is a talented sportswoman who has been playing for her school’s first hockey team since Gr. 9.

In September she and her teammates will compete internationally against the Arthur Johnson hockey team in ltaly.

  • Zu-Nellé has an array of sports achievements. Some achievements are: 2012 to 2013: North West provincial hockey u.13.) 2014: Northern Cape provincial hockey u.14; top 20 athlete of the High School Hartswater; and the Miller and De Villiers Trophy for the hockey player of the year.) 2015: Northern Cape provincial hockey u.16 and the Miller and De Villiers Trophy for the hockey player of the year.) 2016: Griekwaland-Wes Platteland u.16; AVS Griekwas u.16; and the Miller and De Villiers Trophy for the hockey player of the year.) 2017: Griekwaland-Wes (Platteland u.18).
  • Zu-Nellé’s motto is: “Live boldly and bloom to your fullest potential by taking small, but fearless daily actions in the direction of your dream. There’s no traffic on the extra mile.” Send your SuperSport Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month nomination for school learners aged between six and 18 today (nominations received before the 20th of each month will be included in that month’s selection).
