Former Free State Stars stalwart and captain Serame “Rhee” Letsoaka is widely rumoured to be taking over the head coaching post at his former team following speculation that Giovanni Solinas is leaving.

According to KickOff.com, Stars have decided to bring back Letsoaka, who captained the club during his playing days and went on to serve as an assistant at the start of his coaching career 20 years ago.

Ea Lla Koto believe they need a coach familiar with the club’s culture and it is felt Letsoaka fits the bill. He last coached Bloemfontein Celtic and left at the end of October 2016, following a run of poor results.

Letsoaka was part of Ea Lla Koto’s Coca-Cola Cup winning team in 1994.

If appointed, he will replace the Italian Solinas, who guided Stars to two semifinals, the Telkom Knockout Cup and also the Nedbank Cup. – KickOff.com
