YOUTHFUL actress Keamogetswe Motlhakwana’s dream of earning roles on the big screen, could get closer to reality after being selected to attend an acting boot camp in New York, in the United States.

The boot camp, which will run until mid-August, will offer the actress another chance to enhance her acting ability.

She jetted off to New York last Friday (29/07).

Kamo, as the ambitious actress is affectionately called by family and friends, is delighted with the opportunity to go abroad in her quest to launch her career path.

In 2012 she had a break to be on the international stage when she attended a six-week acting internship in Salvador City in Brazil.

This was after she had displayed exceptional talent during the Summer-heat acting auditions held at the Windmill Casino in Bloemfontein.

Keamogetswe (25), is already a household name in drama and theatre circles locally.

“I hope that one day I will get an acting role in Hollywood and to work with renowned actors such as Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry,” said Keamogetswe.

The journey of the rising star from Bloemfontein had not been easy thus far.

She has persevered and has managed to keep her head above the challenges that she has had to face in her pursuit of success.

“Giving up is not an option, because nothing is impossible with God,” said Keamogetswe.

Her trip to attend the acting boot camp in New York had been made possible by a sponsorship from the Mangaung Metro Municipality.

“I would really like to thank the Mangaung Metro for the support. My parents and family members have also been been with me during this journey,” said Keamogetswe.

The bright lady from the Bloemfontein holds a degree in communications science at the University of the Free State.
