NOMHLE VANQA is sick with worry.

Her brother Siphiwo Vanqa (53) went missing and she fears she might never see him again.

This Freedom Square woman from Mangaung, Bloemfontein, told Express that Siphiwo went missing on 17 October.

Apparently, when Siphiwo left home on that day, he said he was going to visit his uncle at Unique Homes.

“My brother left home early in the morning to visit our uncle. That was the last time we saw him,” said Nomhle.

“When he didn’t come back, we phoned our uncle, but he said Siphiwo had not pitched up at his place.

“Siphiwo is epileptic and we wonder how he is surviving.

“What makes matters worse is that he doesn’t own a phone.”

Nomhle said they had reported Siphiwo as missing at the Kopanong Police Station. So far he could not be traced and no information has been ga-thered on his possible whereabouts.

“We have searched for him everywhere, also in hospitals and at mortuaries.

“We appeal to people who might have seen Siphiwo to come forward with information. He was wearing a blue T-shirt. He only speaks Xhosa, as he is originally from Queenstown (eKomani).”
