LOCAL elegant looking lady Seipati Ledibane is one of the 16 shortlisted contestants for the 2016 Miss Earth South Africa pageant. The finalists were announced recently. The Bloemfontein born Seipati is one is one of the contestants that have worked hard in helping to spread the message about responsible recycling. Each finalist has been working closely on this year’s theme: Waste Stops with Me. Pikitup. The Miss Earth programme has been engaging with children around South Africa to educate, empower and help change their behaviour and attitude towards waste for the last six months.

“I am a young ambitious dynamic woman, a woman of strength but yet feminine. I am dynamite in a small package. I would like to thank my community, my sponsors, my work, all the volunteers, friends and family for all the support they have given me on this exciting journey,” said Seipati.

All 16 finalists will during September gather at the Palazzo Hotel in Johannesburg for a week of activities, educational workshops and greening projects with Tsogo Sun, Pikitup and Nedbank. The glamourous side of the week programme. It will culminate with announcement of the winner at the Montecasino Ballroom.
