The hit comedy Ooms is back in Bloemfontein by popular demand.

Last year, this theatre production with Tobie Cronjé and Gerben Kamper sold out within days at the Vrystaat Arts Festival, Aardklop, Woordfees and the KKNK.

Bloemfontein has one last chance to see these two “ooms” in action on 4 and 5 August at the Wynand Mouton Theatre.

Pierre and Frans, two grumpy old men, find themselves in an unusual retirement home.

It is more like a reformatory for very rich retired men, banned from other institutions, and situated in a luxury estate on the Cape coast.

The only way to escape is in a coffin, as there are security fences, guards and even dogs.

Pierre has often tried to escape and is under constant surveillance.

Frans, expelled from House Silverkruin, has just arrived and before long, the two decide to team up.

Even handcraft sessions become part of their elaborate plan for escape.
