THE Miss Dihlabeng prize-giving event will be held on Friday (29/01) in the Bethlehem Town Hall.

The 2015-’16 edition of the pageant has been won by Dieketseng Mofokeng.

The winners will walk away with participation in the Absa ReadytoWork stet programme, computer vouchers from the Avuxeni Computer Academy and desktop computers from Media24.

“We have lived up to our slogan of: Beauty with a purpose. We are happy for the winners,” says Shadrack Maboea, sponsorship and marketing official.

He says Absa has extended participation in the ReadytoWork programme to the top ten finalists of the event.

Motshedisi Rapadi, branch manager, and Ipatlele Motjeane, relationship manager, will do the presentation on behalf of Absa.

Victor Lebitso, the Avuxeni Computer Academy’s branch manager, will hand over the vouchers to the recipients, together with a representative from Mashinini Enterprise.

Media24 will be represented by Coleen Cilliers and Chantelle Cotty, both from ExpressEastern Free State, exclusive media sponsor of the Miss Dihlabeng pageant.

Miss Dihlabeng will make her first public speech when she presents a word of appreciation at this event.

“It is heartwarming to see the event ending on such a positive note. A big thank you to the task team that organised this event and all the sponsors who came on board when the call was made.”

Maboea also thanks the Dihlabeng Municipality and the office of the executive mayor for supporting the pageant.

Miss Dihlabeng’s schedule for public appearances has been completed.

The next edition of the Miss Dihlabeng pageant will be presented on 17 December.

  • Entry to Friday’s event is by invitation only.
