Roots Butchery now in Rocklands

2015-12-09 06:00

THE Roots Butchery had humble origins back in 2004, when we started a modest little butchery in Soweto.

We then decided to bring the butchery business back to its roots and back to basics, by offering quality products and service and the best prices for our supporters.

Since then, for the past 11 years, we have been offering products and service that surpass the norm. Roots Butchery has grown from one butchery in 2004 to just over 70 butcheries in 2015. The butcheries are across Gauteng, Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.

We attribute our success to our original wors recipes, discipline and dedication to operate our business in the right way, instead of the easy way, and most importantly, to our loyal supporters.

You will notice that we do not have customers, but supporters.

A customers is defined as a person who buys goods or services from a shop or business. A supporter is defined as a person who backs a team. Our supporters are not simply customers. They are so much more and without their support we would not be the team we are today.

We say thank you every day by giving quality products at competitive prices.

However, we realised that it was not enough, and that we needed to give something tangible. That is why last year we celebrated our 10th birthday by giving away 30 brand-new Renault Sanderos along with other great prizes, including fridges and televisions, to list a few.

We continued this tradition this year by giving away 66 Big Boy Scooters, as well as 70 hi-fi systems and other great prizes.

To put this in perspective, we have given away prizes worth just under R5 million in the last 2 years. Our goal, when we started this initiative last year, was to give something back to the community,

We have reviewed this decision recently and decided that this is still not enough.

This is why we want to take this one step further next year and give something back to the community twice a year.

We are now opening our store in Rocklands on 10 December and we are going to take Rocklands by storm this Christmas season.

We want to invite everyone to come and support our opening celebrations as we offer crazy deals both for our opening and for the Christmas season.

The team responsible for bringing Roots Butchery to Rocklands is the same team that brought Roots Heidedal to Bloemfontein. We have confidence that Roots Rocklands will be as great as Roots Heide-dal in every way.

Roots Rocklands is located on the corner of Moshoeshoe and Tsuene Street in Kagisanong, Bloemfontein. We look forward to meet you there.

For more information, visit the Roots Butchery website at or visit our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter. We pride ourselves in offering a variety of quality products at the best prices for our supporters, which is why at Roots Butchery, it is your choice.
