THE newly appointed Park Road Police Cluster chief, Maj. Genl Moeketsi Sempe, plans to continue with excellence at the cluster in combating crime.

He was appointed to the influential position with effect from 1 July and has replaced Maj Genl Phumzo Gela, who has been appointed as deputy provincial commissioner of Operations Services.

Sempe plans to achieve excellence through his leadership vision which encompasses the triple-R principles, namely revival, reformation and restoration.

He believes with the new approach he will turn the Park Road Cluster around into a model of excellence.

Sempe is of the view that the cluster needs to strengthen what already exists on a solid foundation.

He plans to maintain and enhance the continuation of what is stipulated in chapter two of the strategic objective of the police – to work with the communities through various structures.

Sempe has a wealth of experience in the police.

He has also served in various roles over the years.

Sempe’s service in the police spans over ten years in senior management.

Before his appointment to lead the Park Road Cluster, he had served as the deputy provincial commissioner for Operations Services in the Free State from 2012.
