THE passing of the speaker of the Phokwane Municipality, Dieketseng Maria Moeketsi, was confirmed by Kgalalelo Letshabo, communications officer, on Thursday (07/04). She passed away on Thursday morning after a short illness.

Moeketsi, who had served in the council for more than ten years, was lauded for her contribution to bettering the lives of the people of Phokwane. “The municipality will forever remember this gallant fighter for respecting people. She will be missed for her outstanding ability as the council speaker,” Letshabo stated. The memorial service is on Wednesday (13/04) in Pampierstad and the funeral on Saturday (16/04).
