Tekkie Tax fever is in the air

2016-05-25 06:00

THE nation is getting ready for the annual Tekkie Tax Day that is just around the corner.

National Tekkie Tax Day will be celebrating their fourth year on the South African fundraising calendar and promises to be better than ever.

On Friday, 27 May, everyone can show where their heart lies and support their preferred charity organisation in South Africa.

According to a press statement from Zandrea Badenhorst on behalf of Tekkie Tax, there are 11 national beneficiaries this year and together they represent more than 1 000 local organisations.

“This fun and funky campaign is the perfect vehicle for making a difference in South Africa.

“Not only do you get the opportunity to change people’s and animals’ lives for the better, but you also get something in return for your hard-earned cash,” Badenhorst stated.

“There is a saying, ‘little by little, a little becomes a lot’ and at only R10 a sticker or R35 for a pair of Tekkie Tag shoelaces, this saying is perfect.”

To participate, buy your Tekkie Tag shoelaces at any Clicks store or buy a sticker at your nearest ToysRUs or BabiesRUs.

There are also hundreds of local welfare organisations selling them.
