QWAQWA. – Petrus Molahlehi (33), who hails from the Letshalemaduke Village in Qwaqwa, was recently announced the winner of a brand-new Hyundai Grand i10 valued at over R170 000, courtesy of 1st for Women Insurance.

He won the car after entering a competition 1st for Women ran on the popular ETV series, Scandal!

The happy Molahlehi said he had entered the competition last year.

He added that he could not believe it when they called to tell him in October to give him the good news.

“I was shocked and happy at the same time.

“You know that there are many people out there who like to take chances.

“I knew I entered for a competition, but I was afraid of scams.

“I was in contact with the person who called me, however, until they gave me the car,” he said.

He was given the car keys on the 19th of this month at the Hyundai dealership in Ladysmith.

“The excitement was almost too much.

“I can’t describe how I felt.

“It was a shock, but a good one!

“I had an old car to make do with, but it wasn’t reliable at all.

“With my new car, travelling to Sasolburg for work will be so much better,” he said.

He said it was not the first time that he had tried his luck with a competition, but it was the first time that he won.

“We are confident that this new car will add an enormous amount of value to Petrus’s life and we wish him many safe and happy miles,” says Robyn Farrell, executive head of 1st for Women Insurance.
