Youth gets centre

2016-06-08 06:00

THE Black Converse Youth Centre in John Daka Phase 2 is expected to host their official opening launch on Saturday, 18 June.

The centre was established by the Black Converse Pantsula dance crew.

Boasting about the difference the centre is set to make to the youth in Galeshewe, Joey Steenkamp, the treasurer of the group, said the youth centre had more than one purpose.

It will serve as a dance academy and skills development centre. Educational and awareness programmes will also be presented.

Steenkamp said the mission of the centre was, amongst others, working in partnership with the community, businesses and government to strive for excellence in meeting the needs of the youth.
