ACTION aplenty started with Roy Thomson and Jack Drew playing in the annual Old Collegians versus Harwood old boys challenge in Pietyermaritzburg which was won by the title holders, Harwood.

Singles handicap magtches were played on Saturday afternoon - Jacques Minnaar played Jordan Bonorchis and overtook his handicap to win 21-14, and then played Gerhard Balzer who streaked away to a win.

Bryan Paul and Chris Fischer had the edge to pull away. So finals will be Bryan versus Gerhard.

There was a good turnout and great weather for the LinkSeed fun day on Sunday with lots of camaraderie adding even more to this enjoyable day, plus a fabulous lunch.

Thanks to Piet and the LinkSeed team for a fantastic day - there were five lots of prizes and a braai-pack lucky draw.

Overall winners were Clive Edkins, Cornelius Nortier and Louw Lotter on plus 17, followed by Jacques Minnaar, Roy Thomson and Mark Thomas on plus 13 and then Gerhard Balzer, Wendy Edwards and Mirelle van Heemert on plus 12. Fourth were Bryan Paul, Struan Cowie and Rudi Rabe.

Then Wulfie Lubowitski, Marone Lotter and Keith Norton. The draw for the braai pack went to Keith Cowie. Also on Sunday Tony Smith successfully defended his title at Mooi River, playing with Sannie Blazer and André Roberts - so it was wins all round
