WITH the theme “My culture, your culture, my heritage, my pride”, the Greytown Child and Youth Care Centre personnel took part in a Heritage Day event at Morester Child and Youth Care Centre, Ladysmith.

Reverend Pieter Swanepoel, director of the Greytown centre, said he was grateful to see that the children embraced and celebrated culture and wanted to willing learn about other cultures.

This year Heritage Day was dominated by Grey- town Child and Youth Care Centre with over 90 children in attractive traditional attire. The Indlamu boys gave a much-appreciated performance and Mbali Ntuli, who took part in the Miss Culture beauty pageant, was placed third.

A big thank you to our sponsors – water from aQuellé was much appreciated as it was a very hot day, pies from King Pie were great for lunch and without the generous sponsor of fuel from Mascor we would not even have made it to the event. It was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all. - Anyanda Mabaso, PRO
