ON Wednesday 3 June the Grade 1 and Grade 2 boys travelled to St Charles.

The Grade 1 boys played three games. The first was against Merchiston which they won 15-0. Their second game was against Scottsville, again our little ‘Springboks” showed they had what it takes to win, scoring four tries, leaving the end score at 20-0 in their favour. The last was against Lynford which they also won 15-0.

The Grade 2 boys played three games. Their first game they played was against Lynford which they just lost 10-0. Their second game was against Merchiston, losing 10-0. However, the boys gained momentum and performed much better against St Charles, winning 35-0.

The U9 boys played well throughout the tournament at Wembley on Saturday 6 June. They played four matches against various Howick teams. They lost one match to Howick team 1, 5-0, they drew one with scores of 5-5 and they won two matches with scores of 25-5 and 10-5.

On Saturday the U11 rugby boys played at Wembley. The boys played some good rugby during their four games. The boys won one match, lost two and drew one.

The U13 rugby boys played four games, against Treverton, Ashton, and Wembley. They won three and lost one.

On Saturday 6 June the U11 hockey girls played in a tournament at New Hanover Prep. They played with much enthusiasm and enjoyed their matches.


vs Hermannsburg we drew 1-1

vs Bisley we won 1-0

vs Wartburg we lost 3-1

It was a lovely way to end off our hockey season. Thank you to Miss Ngcobo for her dedication and hard work with the team.

The U13 hockey girls took part in a hockey tournament at New Hanover Prep. The girls played with great enthusiasm and did very well. The girls played five games.

Greytown vs Lynford drew 0-0

Greytown vs Hermannsburg drew 0-0

Greytown vs Wartburg won 1-0

Greytown vs St Johns drew 0-0

Our first team netball girls went to Hoy Park in Durban to play against top KZN netball players. They played against Zwakele Primary and Bandile Ngobese scored 13-5 in favour of Greytown Junior.

Greytown Junior played against Howick Prep and the score was 8-7 in favour of Howick, Bandile scored five and Nqobile Sithole scored two goals. They played well and displayed good skills
