SCHOOL trips are one of the things pupils look forward at New Hanover Prep School and the memories from them are extremely durable.

Curriculums are enriched by first-hand experiences and each grade has the opportunity to experience an excursion every term of the year.

This term the Grade 1 pupils enjoyed the Flag Animal Farm near Salt Rock. Grade 2 pupils viewed the animals at the Natal Zoological Gardens and museum.

Grade 3 pupils enjoyed a game drive, insect hunt and treasure trail at Tala Game Reserve.

Grade 4 pupils travelled to Phezulu Safari Park to study more about the Zulu culture.

Grade 5 pupils visited Camelot Castle to learn about life in the Middle Ages. Grade 6 pupils learnt survival skills at Bekezela and Grade 7 pupils spent the week exploring Northern Natal.

A school trip with its natural dynamic environment certainly provides a learning venue that matches childrenand#039;s natural inclination to know more about things and puts the learning subject in context

How much food do you need to concentrate?

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
