LAST week Umvoti Aids Center personnel and the Department of Health were on the road in the Wagon Mobile to supply health services in outlying rural areas.

During the week they visited Mpalaza, Muden, Mount Ernestina, Emakhabeleni and Kranskop as residents in these areas live far from health clinics.

Services provided in the week included general consulting, general health screening, optometry and wellness talks on the right to healthy living, and gender equality after it was found that many people living in poor areas did not only have no access to health services, they were also identified as victims of assault.

Teams that participated throughout the week were SRHR, Isibindi Project, and Department of Health from Clinic Health Care in Greytown.

A large number of people attended at the various stops to receive medical attention and the overall campaign was rated most successful.
