In April 2015, the Greytown Gazette published a photograph of the partially demolished building on the corner of Durban and Shepstone streets to illustrate what an eyesore it had become.

This led to the remains of the building being demolished, but the site looks even worse now with bugweed and rubbish flourishing. While many visitors comment on how clean and tidy the streets of town are, the above is what is seen by anyone just driving through the town - it doesn't really make a very good impression does it?
