ON 28 March Gunjana Clinic hosted an open day attended by about 300 members of the community including key figures Mayor Cllr. B.P. Ngcobo and Municipal Ward Councillor Mr. M.P. Mshibe.

There was a presentation by Mr. S. Gwala, district eye specialist, who spoke on the importance of regularly checking eyesight.

Mr. A. Ngwenya from Home Affairs spoke on the importance of registering a birth not later than 30 days after birth.

Mr T. Mvelase, ground breaker from Love Life also spoke to the community about what services ground breakers offer at clinic level and it would have not been an event if there was no entertainment from Gunjana staff - gospel songs, Gunjana Community Care Givers (performed an educational stage play and Omama bendawo performed Indlamu).

Services rendered at Gunjana Clinic are minor ailments, family planning, chronic disease management, immunisation, counselling, TB management, HIV/Aids management, mental health, antenatal care, post-natal care, rehabilitation, pap smears, health education, dental care, maternity services, STI management, nutrition, emergency services, communicable diseases, medical male circumcision, eye health and CCMDD. - N.Mahlangu: PRO Church of Scotland Hospital.
