Durban NGO to distribute 25 000 litres of bottled water

2016-03-09 06:00

OPERATION H20, a water-relief project run by Durban- based NGO, Darul Insan Centre, will distribute 5 000 five litres bottles of water to those in need this Sunday.

Starting at Acacia Park, distribution from the giant truck will begin at 9am. This venue has been chosen so as to provide the necessary space for the truck.

Target in this area are the residents from the "Coloured village" and surrounds.

Once distribution is complete there, the truck will move to the Enhlalakahle hall where the balance of the
5 000 will be distributed.

Umvoti Municipality security will be assisting as will members of the newly established Umvoti Youth in Business group.

The project, with a team of 30 volunteers, carried out a similar programme in drought-stricken Melmoth recently.
