From the ditch

2016-07-06 06:00

DESPITE the freezing weather three bowlers pitched up to play on Saturday afternoon. Chris Fischer, Bryan Paul and Karen Cordy played singles against each other on one rink and proved that you can play bowls with an odd number of bowlers.

Winner were Karen on six points, Chris on five and Bryan on four points.

The drawn pairs are in danger of imploding as it hasn't even started, let alone the singles handicap, which is also due to start soon.

The NIBA singles got off to a flying start on Sunday with Greytown bowlers all winning and moving on to the next round. Well done to Chris Fischer, Tony Smith, Gerhard Balzer and Erika Fischer.
