IN an outstanding display of talent Hermannsburg Combined Secondary School pupils swept the board at the Youth Language Festival secondary school competition on 21 May taking first place in six categories - drama, creative poetry, prepared speech male and female, impromptu speech and praise poetry. The winners in these different categories will now compete at District level on 24 to 26 June.

Taking part in the winning performances:

Drama: Nomusa Mkhize, Nokwanda Zondi, Lungile Mdlalose, Mxolisi Gasa, Nkosinathi Nyandeni, Nkululeko Gwala, Thobelani Bhengu, Siyabonga Nkosi.

Creative poetry: Sabelo Zuma, Phindile Luthuli, Sphamandla Bhengu, Mzothule Dlomo.

Prepared speech female: Balungile Phungula

Prepared speech male: Zamani Mkhize

Impromptu speech: Thembelihle Ngidi

Praise poetry: Amanda Ndlovu

Their teachers Mrs H.E. Mkhize and Mrs N. Nyoka are justifiably proud of these exceptional young pupils.
