CONFIRMATION is the affirmation of one’s Christian faith, confirming one’s baptism and setting a foundation for one’s walk through life - a solemn and important occasion that was made extra special on Sunday by the contributions of the Hermannsburg congregation organist, brass band and choir, as well as the school’s girls’ choir.
We congratulate Ayabonga Dlamini, Mufhiwa Magoro, Erin and Amy Whittle, Tegan Waller, Nqobile Sithole, Amanda Sidu and Kirsten Rabe on their confirmation, which they celebrated with friends and family from near and far.

Congratulations also go to seven of our choristers, who have been selected to represent the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Youth Choir - Chantal Jonker, Nonjabulo Khoza, Millisoa Mavie, Sinqobile Mbambo, Sinqobile Mngoma, Ntandoyenkosi Mpungose and Thuraiya Yusouff, who will be participating in the choir’s annual camp and weekly practices, as well as performing at a variety of events and venues in the next 12 months.
While our school has for many years enjoyed good representation in the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir, which accepts young people studying at university as well as pupils, we are pleased for our choristers that the “start” made by Ayanda Nzama and Chantal Jonker this year in the Midlands Choir has grown, and that our school will now be represented in not one, but two prestigious choirs.
