LAST Thursday, the Little Oaks visited Wally Gevers on his farm. Although they had already been taught a bit about farm animals and why we need them, it was quite another experience to see them live.
When the Little Oaks got off the bus, some grimaced at the smell of wholesome country air, but everyone soon got used to all of it, splitting up into two groups and heading off to see all the farm animals.
They saw mommy pigs with their piglets, bulls, cows and calves, cats, dogs and even some chickens laying eggs - and were sad when they all had to board the bus again.
Everyone would have loved to have stayed longer - the visit to the farm was loads of fun and the Little Oaks learnt a lot.
A big thank you?to Uncle Wally and especially to Uncle Leon, for showing us around and for answering our questions.
