DID you know the word “ballet” comes from the Latin word for dance, and that ballet as we know it began 500 years ago in Italy, as a form of entertainment in the courts, however, women weren’t allowed to dance in public until 1681.
Ballet is a wonderful way to stay fit, develop great posture and strong core muscles. Our little ballerinas are practicing for their dance performance, “Weather or not to Dance” by Janet Harrison’s Dance Studio.
Through the magic of dance they can explore their imagination, become more self-confident, take pride in their bodies and learn that practice pays off.
Please join us on 12 November at Greytown High School for the event. Doors open at 2.30pm. Tickets cost R60 for adults and R40 for pensioners and pupils.
