WE are proud of our Old Pupils.

It was a small HMB Old Pupil reunion, when Mrs Uta Malzahn and her son Yul, Louise Nel and Byron Bure (Little Oaks’ in their time), attended a “Playground” concert on Saturday night at the Obviouzly Armchair Bar in The Observatory, Cape Town.

Claire Hesom matriculated from Hermannsburg in 2009 and is the producer, drummer and singer of the band, Playground.

She studied sound production and technology at the Cape Audio College and now works in the film industry in the sound department as a boom operator on set.

Yul matriculated in 2007 and is a mechanical engineer at CA Muller in Wellington, while Louise Nel matriculated in 2009 and is now a teacher at Vera School for Learners with Autism in Cape Town.

Byron Bure also matriculated in 2009 and is the owner and lecturer at Byron Bure Academy of Theatre Arts in Cape Town, where he is also the assistant director of the theatre production of The Wizard of Oz at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town.

We congratulate them all on their fine achievements and look forward to hearing about their future successes.
