ONCE again the Illovo Wartburg MTB Classic proved to be an outstanding success reports Brigitte Straeuli, co-ordinator of the event.
Just under 900 enthusiastic cyclists and trail runners made the journey to Wartburg to cycle and run through some of the most beautiful and scenic farms in the country, in perfect conditions. Key to the success of such an event is providing mountain bikers with an exciting and well-maintained track and an exceptionally well run event with ice cool drinks at all watering tables.
“We are blessed to be able to achieve this with the support of the Wartburg Kirchdorf School parents, staff, pupils and the community and our dedicated cycle committee, who always ensure that riders and their families and friends have a thoroughly enjoyable day out,” said Brigitte.

The event would not be possible without the support of sponsors and farmers who kindly allowed the race to pass through their farms. A special word of thanks to the companies and individuals who generously supported this event.
