MICHAELA Dutton participated in the KZN Level 1 Championship gala at the Kings Park swimming pool from 20-21 February, and won.

She earned two gold medals for girls U11 50 metre backstroke in which she broke the record, and girls’ U11 200 metre backstroke.

On Saturday 27 February Michaela swam in the KZN Midlands Championship gala at the Seals swimming pool in Pietermaritzburg. She won the girls U12 100m freestyle, came second in the 50m and 100m backstroke and third in the 50m freestyle.

Michaela has been awarded KwaZulu-Natal Midlands swimming colours.

Her achievements are largely due to the efforts of her coach Mr Goosen of Greytown Junior School.

On Friday 26 February the U13 rugby side travelled to Pietermaritzburg and participated in the Ralph Caewood Day-Night series. The players have been practicing and preparing over the past few weeks. In their first game against Laddsworth, Greytown took control early in the game capitalising on Laddsworth's mistakes. Try scorers were Michael Thompson, Mongezi Langa, Nkazimulo Mzolo and Sandiswa Qwabe. The final score was 42-0 in Greytown Junior's favour.
