ON Wednesday 1 March, Greytown Junior’s U13 cricket side, accompanied by Mr Stanzcyk, played against Wembley College.

Greytown batted first and Ntando Makhaye and Christopher Nunan made a partnership of 43 runs. At the end of the innings Greytown made 95 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Wembley batted and Greytown struggled to defend, Takshay Ramlagan took 5 wickets. Wembely College made 96 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the 15th over.Greytown Junior’s U11 played against Wembley College.

Wembley made 145 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Greytown then batted and struggled to keep the run rate up making a total of 55 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Wembley scored 95 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their 15 overs in the U10 match. Greytown making only 31 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 15 overs. The U10 boys and the coach would like to say a special thank you to Mr and Mrs Budloo who came to support the boys. The boys lost against Wembley.

On Friday 3 March Greytown Junior’s U13 side travelled to Pietermaritzburg and competed in the Ralph Caewood Day/Night Series. Greytown Junior played a total of 3 games. The first game was against Pelham’s U12 side which we won 27-0. The second game was against a very determined Cordwalles side.

Greytown struggled and we lost 37-0. Our final game was against Howick. Howick scored early tries and although we gained momentum, the end score was 12-5 in Howick’s favour.
