PLAYBALL is taught at Wembley College, Hermansburg, Kammaland, New Hanover and Wartburg Kirchdorff schools.

In the first week the children had a trial run before officially enrolling for the year. Formal lessons started the following week and the children quickly got the hang of the Playball curriculum.

Children learn through their bodies, they explore and control their worlds by using their senses and physical abilities. Gross motor development is the key as brain development starts here. The children continuously takes part in all skills to ensure there is maximum activity level.

They have been learning about the correct grip, body and eye position in each skill, which is the focus for the first half of the year.

Later in the year the children will be taught the correct movement, contact and/or release point, and the finishing off of each skill. In order to perfect and execute skills correctly, pupils must master these Playball focus points, which we aim to achieve by the end of each year. The curriculum is age-specific and concentrates on each level of development and needs of each age.

Its exciting to have a team of keen and excited three-year-olds exploring their environment and developing gross motor skills as well as the eager five-year-olds who are very enthusiastic to learn about different sports and specialised skills and enjoy the formalised sport drills and team work.
