THIS year the regional contest was hosted by Hermannsburg School with seven teams from four schools taking part. The contestants were fairly evenly matched, with the top three scores very close, right up to the last round of the quiz.

The Hermannsburg B team finally outplayed the Hermannsburg A team and the final result was Hermannsburg B team in top place, closely followed by Domino Servite and Hermannsburg's A team in third place.

Contestants impressed with their vast pool of knowledge. Quiz master, Kevin Cockburn, deserves special mention for always presenting the contestants with challenging questions and explanations.

Cliff Walton is the regional WESSA representative and main organiser of the quiz and Nick Klapprott, Greytown's Honorary Officer's chairman, acted as the official time keeper.

Mondi representatives were Moon Chetty and Barnabas Vroegop and once again Mondi sponsored beautiful book prizes and refreshments. In addition the winning team received the floating Wizzard Worms trophy .

The winners are looking forward to taking part in the national finals to be held in Pietermaritzburg after the July school holidays.
