CHILDREN like adults, need a range of visual and sensory experiences to inspire and stimulate their creative potential. Fortunately, at New Hanover Prep, the environment is flexible enough to create opportunities to help expose children to new experiences, excursions being one method.

Each term grades benefit from various excursions. This week, for example, the Grade 2 and Grade 3 pupils visited the Shark’s Board to watch a shark dissection and audio visual show. Thereafter they enjoyed their trip to Crocodile Creek.
Children’s learning and development is enhanced through direct interaction as they are empowered to explore confidently while increasing their knowledge and appreciation of the world around them.
