SHORTSTRAW and four other bands will be playing at the Wembley College Duck Derby on 1 and 2 September to celebrate the school’s 20th anniversary.
Tickets are R250, which includes entry to the Duck Derby Flea Market stalls and all performances throughout the weekend. Tickets are available from the school.
Wembley Old pupils will receive a free ticket if they bring a friend – buy one, get one free or old pupils can buy one ticket for R200.

Shortstraw have recently returned from a very successful tour to Germany, Holland and the UK. They are a Johannesburg-based band that is becoming one of South Africa’s most popular bands with three singles from their album, Good Morning Sunshine, being placed in the top five of the 5FM, Top 40 countdown.
Their music is quirky, feel-good with hits like Couch Potato, Bikini Weather and Gimme My Fix and are at the forefront of the South African, indie-rock music scene, with a loyal, almost cult-like following.
The performance will start on Saturday at 5pm in the  Wembley College Pavillion on Saturday 2 September.

To buy tickets, contact Wembley College on 033 413 2677 or email head@wembley college.co.za

Alcohol can be brought into the performance by anyone over 18 years of age.
There will be no cash bar on the school grounds.
