Thank you to fracking meeting attendees

2016-10-12 06:00

Sir, ON behalf of the concerned residents of Umvoti and Kranskop I would like to thank the few people who gave up their time to attend the fracking meeting on Thursday 6th October.

To the people who never attended, shame on you. Need I say that you will be the very people who will be calling “foul” when fracking takes place and your water is contaminated.

When the water has been contaminated your vegetables will be contaminated, the animals will die and you will have nothing to drink. Fracking is an extremely dicey operation. The people of Kranskop, Umvoti, Keats Drift, Seven Oaks, Muden and other surrounding areas need to wake up and become active in opposing this dreadful operation.

We need to take a leaf out of the books of places like The Dargle, Nottingham Road and Matatiele, among others, who pack the halls in vociferous opposition.
