Pedestrians and pupils are requested to use the pavement and not the road when they walking, for their own safety.

Tough action will be conducted against the following:

• speeding;

• traffic violations; and

• obstruction of free flow of traffic e.g. by heavy motor vehicles when off-loading goods, etc.

Drivers are reminded that no driver may have a concentration of alcohol in any specimen of breath exhaled greater then 0.24 milligrams per 1000 millilitres. In the case of a professional driver this limit is 0.10 milligrams per 1000 millilitres.

We will also be concentrating on public nuisances, including the unauthorised use of loud hailers and/or PA systems and loud music and drinking in King Edward Park and/or Lakhis sports field, etc.

Residents are encouraged to call through with any complaints in this regard.

Greytonians are once again commended for their good road behaviour and personal involvement in road safety matters over the past years and it is hoped this carries through over the festive season.
