Umvoti New Year wish list

2016-03-02 06:00

IN the first issue of 2016, the Greytown Gazette published a “wish list” for the year - as no action has been taken on these, the list is published again:

• Lots and lots more rain.

• Replies from Umvoti Municipality to the many queries from ratepayers and Greytown Gazette which have not been answered – hurrah for transparency.

• Completion of the unfinished hospital in Pine Street and the removal of the pavement and road blockages.

• Once and for all sorting out Greytown’s continuous waste disposal and dump problems.

• Improving the quality of living for Tintown and Lindelani residents.

• Keeping up the current good, clean and attractive level of streets in town.

• Umzimyathi District Municipality to realise that Umvoti is a vital part of the district and keep Umvoti residents informed of activities, etc.

• Continued community support for the police in crime prevention.

• Peaceful hassle and violence-free local government elections.
