PATRICK O'Sullivan and Jacquie Minnaar both did South Africa and Greytown proud playing in the national Protea polocrosse teams.

Patrick, an accomplished player, represented the national Veteran team that played against the touring Zambian team.

Patrick was presented with the following awards of the series

Best number three player

Best man player

Best horse and rider combination.

Jacquie made her debut in the Protea U21 team in which four ladies and four men played against the Australian U21 touring team.

South Africa won the first Test match and narrowly lost the series to a strong Australian team that had two former World Cup players in its side.

Jacquie, however, had an outstanding Test series. Her tenacity and determination on the polocrosse field was inspiring to see. She was awarded the best number 2 of the series, notwithstanding the fact that she was the youngest player in the U21 teams.

Caroline Minnaar’s horse, Colgate, won the Golden Pony Award. He played an integral part in the Australian team winning the Test series at the grand age of 19.

Umvoti will be travelling to Bethal to compete in the South African Club Championships. This is also be a trial for the full ladies and men's teams which will tour Australia in April 2017.
