UMVOTI Sub-District stole the show at the Umzinyathi Health District Annual Service Excellence Awards on the 30 March as they  collected the majority of awards.
This is an annual event at which Umzinyathi Health District Management thanks employees, acknowledges sub- districts that have exceeded their annual targets and individuals who have gone beyond the call of duty.

Eight employees were awarded long service certificates for serving the Department of Health for more than 30 years with integrity and dedication.
Mr. SJ Nyoka was the star being the only employee who received a 40-year long service certificate.

Congratulations to Umvoti Sub-District on receiving the following 21 awards and one medal:

Position 1: Facility which best achieved CCMDD Target.

Position 3: Facility with best CCMDD Query Resolution.

Position 1: Individual who best embraced CCMDD – Sr Madlala.

Position 1: Best performing clinic in ART initiation. Sibuyane Clinic

Position 2: Facility with best CCMDD Query Resolution

Position 2: Best performing clinic in Antenatal Care before 20 weeks.
Mobile 1

Position 1: Best performing clinic in Antenatal Care before 20 weeks.
Amatimatolo Clinic

Position 2: Individual who best embraced CCMDD – Ms T. Ndlovu.
GTN Gateway Clinic

Position 5: Best performing clinic in Ideal Clinic standards.
Kwasenge Clinic

Position 3: Best performing clinic in Immunisation Coverage.
Kranskop Clinic

Position 2: Best performing clinic in ART initiation.
Greytown Hospital Umvoti Sub-District

Position 1: Best performing hospital in National Core Standard.

Position 1: Best performing hospital in Reducing Maternal Deaths.

Position 2: Best performing hospital in Bed Utilisation Rate.

Best performance for Infrastructure Development and Maintenance

Individual awards for the best frontline staff; service delivery in different category - Nurse L. Mathanzima

Position 2: Overall best performance in Child Health.

Position 1: Overall best performance in TB management.

Spokesperson for Greytown hospital said: “We are humbled by such recognition and wish to thank all Umvoti Sub-District employees for the hard work put in, utilising the limited resources at hand. Further, we also thank the hospital board, clinic committees, local municipality, Operation Sukuma Sakhe - Umvoti LTT, local business sector, local NGOs and not forgetting our community for the continued support and collaboration in all our health programmes and initiatives.” - Greytown Hospital management.
