Water update

2016-11-09 06:01

SLOWLY, slowly – almost drop by drop - the level of Lake Merthley is creeping up, but at 22.45% it still has a long, long way to go.

Wonder what the odds are on Lake Merthley being full before the launch of what is rapidly becoming the mythical Craigieburn pipeline water supply to Greytown?

But at least it has been raining - 99mm recorded in September, 115mm in October and to date for November, 23mm.

According to a weather forecast (from Norway) there will be rain from today until 8pm on Friday. Then from 2pm on Saturday through to Wednesday 16 November, 8pm, hopefully the rain bird and Norway will prove to be correct.
