Weather update

2016-11-16 06:00

IT was a good old-fashioned downpour in Greytown last
Friday night, when according to Grant Gifford’s records, has brought the rainfall this month to a total of 115mms. Up until last Wednesday 9 November 23mm had been reported and the balance of 92mm since - the best week’s rainfall Greytown has had in many a month

Lake Merthley now stands at 25.10% full.

And the weather forecasters predict there is still more rain up there.

As usual the Greytown Gazette has requested (a weekly one) an update from Umzinyathi District municipality on the Craigieburn pipeline as to when work will begin again and the estimated completion date. As usual there was no response.
