CHARLES Dickens once said: “I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time.”
Christmas is coming and Khayalami Orphanage would be delighted if you could help them by donating R100 towards a present for a child at the orphanage.

This is the third year we are collecting money for presents and the present-buying has already begun. Some of the boys will be getting soccer balls and some of the girls will be receiving Barbie dolls.
There are many more presents that still need to be bought.

If you would like to contribute towards this collection, contact Louise Yeadon on 083 308 1732 to make a donation.
You can make a difference in someone’s life.

Moreover, in the third term, our SP pupils had a chance to show off their creativity by preparing a book review with a difference. Our grade 4s and 5s had to collect items that related in some way to a character or place in their books and these had to be put into a box that was decorated to represent the book.
The Grade 6 and Form 1 classes were asked to redesign a cereal box working with the theme of their book. They had to create a game for the back of the box and include a toy.
A big thank you is extended to each pupil who prepared such lovely reviews. The following pupils received certificates for their creative projects:

Grade 4 Elri De Nysschen and Deanté Swart

Grade 5 Molly Barber and Adisha Munessar

Grade 6 Kelly Cotterrell, Ludwig Herbst, Adrian Hill and Mark Schofield

Form 1 Sarah Barber, Uttara Moodley, Keown Peter, Zoë Scholtz and Amoré Van Rooyen.
