THE annual Form 6 valedictory service was held on Thursday 22 September.

The class of 2016 said goodbye to their teachers, both past and present, and took us on a wonderful trip down memory lane with a slideshow prepared by themselves containing pictures and videos from their years spent at Wembley College.
Following the service, the class celebrated their final stretch at Wembley by walking through a tunnel formed by the Grade 1 to Form 5 pupils and each released a balloon signifying their release from Wembley to continue on their path of life.

Form 2 tennis star, Calista Muna, also participated in a tennis tournament during the last weekend of the holidays. She was awarded the prize for U16 girls’ runner-up and the Open Women’s Doubles winner in the Dormehl KZN competition.

She has been selected for the U14 age group to play in the Mini Masters Finals on 29 and 30 October at the Westridge Stadium in Durban. Congratulations Calista.

The SP is happy with the revamping of our outside chess set and board and pupils have enjoyed playing chess during break and now, with the refreshed pieces and their new coat of paint, pupils can enjoy this fun and educational activity for many years to come.
