WEMBLEY College would like to thank Dieter Meyer, Tanya Schneider, Elsie Fourie, Michelle Barber, Laverne Pieterse and Greg and Jilly Hull for arranging the annual Wembley PA Golf Day.

The day was a great success with the support from our sponsors, parents and golfers. Thank you also to the teachers that supported the golf day.

With their support we were able to raise funds for bursaries for new pupils.

Over the mid-term, Louné Lötter and Tayla Porée attended a three-day swimming course to further their coaching abilities. It was held in Durban North at Elizabeth Smith's Swim School and Elizabeth Smith led the course. She used to be a national swimming coach for South Africa as well as a swimming instructor.

Louné and Tayla have both completed three courses with Elizabeth and are now qualified in elementary, intermediate and advanced coaching.

They both learnt a lot from Elizabeth and hope to use the knowledge they have gained to benefit both Wembley College and themselves in the future.
