HILLCREST SAPS are warning residents to be vigilant when drawing cash from banks. This warning comes after a woman was robbed of her cash and iPad in Delamore Road on Wednesday.

Hillcrest SAPS public relations officer Steven King said: “The woman was followed from FNB Kloof into the Hillcrest Library parking area. A silver Hyundai drove in, looked for parking and pretended to drive out. At the entrance a man got out and pulled out a firearm and went straight for the women and pushed her to the ground.

“The other man pulled out his firearm and pointed it to the security guard. They grabbed her bag which had R6 900 in, and her iPad. The men then fled the scene and are still at large.”

King said that one was wearing a blue DSW jacket, grey pants and navy balaclava, the other man was wearing a white golf shirt and hat. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Hillcrest SAPS.
