HILLCREST Corner is expanding in order to provide shoppers with an improved and more relevant shopping experience. However, with growth comes change, so here’s who we’re saying goodbye to and here’s who we welcome to our Hillcrest Corner family.

Carol Boyes has left the centre to make way for a new entrance on the top floor. This will provide shoppers with more convenient shopping access from the extended upper parking level. Foschini and @Home have also departed the centre. These stores have been combined to form a Baby City superstore which will be opening soon, much to the delight of our Hillcrest Corner moms.

Markhams, Travelex and Milady’s make way for a South African heavyweight bank, Standard Bank. This addition of one of South Africa’s best loved banks will add to our convenient everyday offering. Truworths and Identity have also left the centre and we are currently in the processes of signing two exciting new stores in their place.

While our shopping centre is in a state of change, we are offering three hours of free parking to shoppers. This free parking offer has been effective since 1 June and will provide shoppers with safe and secure free parking throughout the renovation period.

We are also giving shoppers an added incentive to shop with us during this transition with our “Make the Most of our Makeover” competition. In July and August we will be giving away two R5 000 vouchers in the build-up to our massive R10 000 shopping voucher grand prize in celebration of the completion of phase one of the redevelopment.

To enter, shoppers simply need to spend R250 or more at any two stores, put their till slips into an entry envelope, fill in their details and drop their envelopes into the entry box.

Hillcrest Corner may be going through a transformation, but there are a host of exciting specials and blood-pumping competitions to keep shoppers entertained. So, while the centre may be changing its look, it is still committed to providing the Hillcrest community with fun-filled family orientated shopping. - Supplied
