EVERY year “Under an African Sky”, a Compass Medical Waste Services initiative, produces an A2 wall calendar which showcases South Africaand#039;s wildlife. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar go to Crow, South Africaand#039;s only wildlife rehabilitation centre committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife in KwaZulu-Natal. Crow provides life-saving care and treatment to more than 3000 wild animals in distress before returning them to the wild. RoGa Plastics has been involved in the calendar campaign since inception seven years ago and is passionate about the well-being of vulnerable animals. and#039;and#039;Someone needs to be the voice for the voiceless, and we aim to help animals in distress in whatever way we can,and#039;and#039; says RoGa Plastics owner, Gavin du Plessis. As part of their corporate social responsibility, Nologo Studios, specialists in digital solutions, has been involved in the production and hosting of the Under an African Sky website. This year Crow celebrated 35 years of dedicated service to local wildlife conservation. While the organisation is proud of reaching this significant milestone, it is also acutely aware that the need for its unique services is greater than ever. Crow is a registered non-profit organisation and is 100% reliant on donations from the public for its survival. Fund-raising initiatives such as Under an African Skyand#039;s annual calendar campaign therefore plays a crucial role in raising much-needed funds for Crowand#039;s ongoing work. To purchase a calendar which features stunning black and white wildlife photography, visit www.underanafricansky.co.za email orders@underanafricansky.co.za or phone 031 267 9700 and ask to be put through to Under an African Sky. - Supplied
