FASHION and polo lovers around South Africa will delight in The Gatsby National Polo event.

This prestigious corporate affair will be hosted in Durban at the esteemed Shongweni Polo Club on 14 June.

Funds raised from the Gatsby National Polo event, will go towards furthering education and training non-profit organisation. The purpose of this organisation is to help underprivileged children, and give them an opportunity to pursue their goals. The Gatsby Polo defines partying with a purpose.

Top fashion partners for the day will model their latest ready to wear designs in an eye-catching fashion show. Drawing inspiration from the fashion element of polo, cosmetic companies will have touch-up stations for their make-up artists and hairstyles to treat guests to a truly pampered experience.

Tickets for the event can be purchased via at R100 per person for general access. Or else purchase a picnic table for 10 people for R 350 per person with own umbrella, chairs, picnic basket with a couple of bottles of wine, entrance fee otherwise reserve a corporate client table seating 10 people in the main players marquee for R750 per person for 3 course meal, including entrance fee, wine, etc.

Guests will start the day at 10.30 with the Polo horse parade and marching band, followed by the fashion and vintage car show. The polo game starts with six chukkers each side, competing for honour and prizes.

Food and drinks are available to purchase, or bring your own. Prizes will also be given to the best dressed glamorous, Gatsby guest. In true Durban fashion, top DJs will be shutting down the main marquee at the after party.

This is an opportunity to experience something unique and dress to impress and have loads of fun. Don’t forget feathers, bow tie, suspenders and Gatsby hat!
