AVADE, a three-piece South African rock band, will be rocking Kloof at Open Strings in Villa Brae on Friday 6 November. Doors open at 6pm.

The band consists of guitarist-singer Ross Meintjes, brother Brendon on drums, and the recently appointed German-born producer-multi-instrumentalist Ruben Thomas on bass.

They come from the rather “un-rock ‘n roll” suburbs of Pinetown and Winston Park, with the collective goal of bringing back rock music to the upper Highway area.
AVADE is a band that prides itself on volcanic performances and great songs.
Hosts of the show, husband-and-wife team, Rod and Karen Nichols, said they are very proud to bring such talent to Kloof.

“Open Strings is held at Villa Brae where great music, excellent food and magic vibes are the order of the night. Some of SA's greatest artists have graced our stage, including Arno Carstens, Ard Matthews, Albert Frost, Farryl Purkiss, Guy Buttery, Nibs van der Spuy, Robin Auld, Syd Kitchen, and more,” the duo said.

“If you’re looking for a great night out with amazing food, feel free to check out one of our amazing acts.”

A full cash bar is available and homemade burgers and chips are on sale, and there is safe secure on-site parking. For booking details email rodnichols@telkomsa.net or call 031 709 1242.
